Our practice sits in the heart of Welwyn Garden City, a town dreamed up by Ebenezer Howard back in 1920 as the “perfect town.” He had a vision of tree-lined streets, wide grassy verges, and a sense of open space, and honestly, he nailed it. We’re lucky to be close to the scenic parkway, so even the journey here feels pleasant.
Parking is simple and free. You’ll find spaces right outside in the layby, or just a short stroll away on nearby streets. There’s also parking in Shoplands if you prefer. Need to pick up a few bits after your appointment? The Co-op pharmacy and a handful of local shops are just around the corner.
If you’re coming by bus, it couldn’t be easier. The stop is right outside our door, and you’ll be inside within a couple of minutes.
Stepping into our practice, you’ll notice it feels calm from the moment you walk in. The walls are painted in soothing sea-blue tones, and large seascape canvases add a touch of the coast to every treatment room. Those colours aren’t just for show, they’re chosen to help you feel relaxed and at ease.
We’re also proud of the people who make up our team. Many of our staff have been with the practice for a long time, and a number have been with us for decades; in fact, one has been part of Knightsfield for over 50 years. That kind of loyalty says a lot about the care we give, both to our patients and to each other.
If you’d like, you can even pop on a pair of headphones during your treatment and choose your own music. It’s a small touch, but it helps you settle in and makes the experience a lot more comfortable.

We know your time is valuable, and we do everything we can to run on schedule. Please try to arrive a few minutes early for your appointment. If you can’t make it, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice, so we can try to use these appointments for other patients. Short-notice cancellations or missed appointments may result in a fee, and repeated no-shows could affect your ability to book future appointments. This helps us make the most of our time for all patients.
If you’re an existing patient and have a genuine dental emergency, we’ll endeavour to see you within 24 hours. If you’re new to the practice and need urgent care, just give us a call. We’ll always try to help as quickly as possible. Please call as early in the day as possible. We’ll do our utmost to fit you in, though we may not always be able to offer a set appointment time.

I recently had some dental issues with broken teeth and saw Maya for a check-up. Maya gave me options to get my teeth repaired, and I now have 2 lovely new white fillings. I had also misplaced my denture, and Maya made me a new one, which fits so well and is so comfortable. The treatment from start to finish was explained in detail, and I’m really happy with the final results. I highly recommend this dental practice and am pleased to have found such a friendly, helpful team.
Today I had the ‘pleasure’ of a shiny new filling by Nishma, who has become a bit of a household name around here! The kids love her, and now, I have to pretend to be “Dentist Daddy” when brushing their teeth (inspired by Nishma)!

What a fantastic practice! My son was absolutely terrified to enter the dental practice, but Sarah at reception and our dentist, Fatima, were both absolutely amazing with him and calmed him down quickly. Their customer service was some of the best I have experienced anywhere.
Very professional team. Always on time. Very clean premises. Friendly staff. They seem up-to-date with new techniques and equipment. They take pride in their work. I have had several dentists at this practice over the years, but they are all very good at their job. Can recommend.

I had an old filing replaced. The procedure was delivered very well, and in a nice, calm atmosphere. The anaesthetic took quite a long time to ease off – more like 4 hours before I could feel my bottom lip and cheek, but I’d rather that than feel the procedure (which I didn’t).
Highly recommend the service at the dentist. Thoroughly professional in the explanation and treatment of my teeth. A great experience, thank you!
I had an old filling that had to be replaced, and I had the treatment today. I can honestly say it was the most relaxing treatment; I didn’t feel a thing, and the dentist and her dental nurse were brilliant.
My treatment was concisely explained from start to finish, including aftercare. I was reminded of each appointment both by phone and email. The professionalism and diligence of Maya, Sarah and all staff were faultless.
I had to go to this practice as an emergency, being a very nervous patient, I can not tell you how nice they were. The dentist informed me of what treatment should be done, and the dental nurse was lovely and held my hand throughout the tooth extraction; they even gave me a coping strategy to use. Cannot recommend them enough, all staff were lovely and friendly.
